The basket was easy to assemble and relatively easy to mount since I was doing it by myself. The basket was great for our trip, very sturdy and held enough luggage to make things much easier.
My only real complaint is that the mounting is not as flexible as I'd like and though it says it will fit my vehicle with the factory bars it is right on the edge and really can't be mounted with bars centered in the clamps the way the instructions say it should be, that's why I only gave it 4 stars for the way it mounts on my Honda Element with factory cross bars.
The product shipped right on time and was delivered as predicted.

I attached this to my 2006 Nissan Xterra's existing cross bars. I had no difficulty assembling and mounting it on my own. I did run into one hitch when I found a nut was missing from one of the locking knobs. A trip to the local hardware store for a 1/4" nut solved the problem. Nice basket, fits well on the Xterra.

Great great rack, I purchased this rack a week ago, haven't gotten a chance to use it yet, but it is mounted to my 03 Jeep Liberty, fits it perfectly, rides right behind the sun roof and man is it quite, haven't hauled anything around in it yet, will do that when i move down to Georgia next week. I drove close to 300 miles with it on, on the freeway doing 75, not a sound, and didn't see any reduced gas mileage, I'm sure both will come next week. Sturdy construction, putting it together and mounting it was a snap, just follow the included documents and you can't go wrong. I have all yakima hardware, the lowrider towers, and 58" crossbars, along with a powderhound, they are all great products, sturdy construction, and the powdercoat is nice and thick and can take a beating, yakima makes a good product, you really cant go wrong with this basket if you don't mind the noise increase and slight drop in gas mileage. Definitely recommend!
